Having over 20 years' experience in upholstery, Thomas has upholstered many items from everyday settees through to bespoke commissions, antiques that employ the earliest techniques and modern day alternatives. Thomas works closely with antique restorers to breathe new life into tired furniture as well as working with modern furniture designers and interior designers.
Thomas has been privately upholstering for 20 years although it has been a passion of his for a very long time. He became City and Guilds qualified in 1998 and has been upholstering full time ever since.
He started out working for his tutor just after qualifying, and within a few months was fortunate enough to be helped by the Prince's Trust to start up his own business. Being impressed with the quality of his work they were good enough to assist him with a start up loan and a grant.
Having recently relocated to Wiveliscombe he now has a showroom and workshop all under one roof so customers can browse through the selection of fabrics, discuss their ideas and requirements or browse through stock.
